CLASSES

Please arrive 15 minutes early to classes. Look at the class descriptions below to know what to expect, what to bring and what to wear. If this is your first time to Forthright Fitness, give yourself plenty of extra time to get checked-in and ready for class.  Please let Coach Keith know if you are encountering any injuries/soreness so that he can modify your workout to your needs. Be courteous to your fellow community, and be on time!

Ride Class:
​

This ain’t Yo Momma’s spin class. Ride Classes at Forthright Fitness take a non-competitive, performance based approach where riders work at their individual fitness levels through highly intention based programming created and developed with Coach Keith’s friend / mentor Kristin Armstrong (most decorated U.S. women's cyclist of all time, best cycling time-trialist in sports history, 3x Olympic Gold Medalist, 2x World Champion, winner of 6 U.S. National Championships). Ride classes at Forthright Fitness are backed by evidence-based exercise science and are not just for cyclists but are a great low-impact workout to help support any athlete’s healthy lifestyle. Partnered with visually stunning software by Intelligent Cycling, not only are Ride classes technical, they are also highly entertaining as each ride includes a highly curated and eclectic musical playlist, fun videos, and a lot of silly jokes and high-fives along the way. Coach Keith’s classes have been described as combining the perfect balance of fun and kick-ass! Riders will leave each Ride Class at Forthright Fitness feeling energized and accomplished.

Ride classes are offered daily and at multiple times a day. Each class is 45 - 50 mins long. Great for all levels! Saturday ride classes are 75 mins with an option to leave at 45 or 60 mins.

What to bring / wear:

​

  • Be prepared to sweat! Athletic / breathable clothing is a must!

  • Padded bike shorts are not required but are a Plus! 

  • Flat soled athletic shoes or Cycling shoes (bikes are SPD clip compatible).

    • We DO NOT have shoe rentals. 

  • Well charged phone or i-pad with the Intelligent Cycling app downloaded and profile created 

  • Bring a Water Bottle or 2!

  • Ear Plugs provided if needed.

Circuit:
​

Circuit classes at Forthright Fitness are full-body Functional Training classes set to get you feeling good, looking great, and moving safely and efficiently. Functional Training programming utilizes a variety of exercises to get you moving through common movement patterns and to strengthen large and small muscle groups. Strength training is key in helping you avoid injury in your daily life. Functional Training Circuit is extremely beneficial to support your healthy lifestyle, are time-tested, and results driven.

Circuit classes are offered daily and at multiple times a day. Each class is 60 mins long and great for all levels! Most Circuit classes include a full body opener warm-up and some foam rolling/active stretching in each cool-down. Expect some amount of running/jogging (can be modified as needed).

What to bring / wear:

​

  • Be prepared to sweat! Athletic / breathable clothing is a must!

  • Wear shoes that are meant to move in. Flat soled / lightweight lifting shoes preferred. *Wearing shoes is required in this class. 

  • Water Bottle

HIIT Sculpt:
​

HIIT Sculpt classes at Forthright Fitness are highly intentional, fast-paced full body workouts that will get your heart pumping, sweat flowing and leave you oh so sore in the best way! Each class consists of an extensive body-weight warm-up to open up and ready your body to move, as well as fire up your smaller muscle groups (core, glutes, hips, hamstrings, quads, IT Band and more).  The meat of each HIIT Sculpt class has 8(ish) x 4(ish) minute interval sets focused on working different muscle groups and getting your body moving in multiple planes to support daily movement patterns.  Cardio is thrown in to make this a real burner! Cool-down stretches provided at the end of class.

HIIT Sculpt classes are offered multiple times a week. Each class is 60 mins long. HIIT Sculpt classes can be achieved bodyweight or with small props (provided). Great for beginners!​

​

What to bring / wear:

  • Be prepared to sweat! Athletic / breathable clothing is a must!

  • Bring a yoga mat if you have one! 

  • This is a barefoot class however socks / shoes are okay if needed.

  • Water Bottle

HIIT
Stretch & Chill:
​

Stretch & Chill is Forthright Fitness’ signature recovery class. This slow paced class is great for stretching out those sore muscles, and for increasing balance and making gains in your mobility / flexibility. Each class combines a mix of active stretching, foam rolling, breath work and a little chill out meditation time to get you relaxed and ready to bring on another active week!

Stretch and Chill Classes are offered once a week. Each class is 60 mins long and may consist of body-weight work and use of some props such as foam rollers, lacrosse balls, yoga straps, bands, etc.​

​

What to bring / wear:

  • Wear breathable clothing that is easy to move in. Class will vary in temperature so bring a sweatshirt and / or blanket. Think layers.

  • Bring a yoga mat if you have one.

  • Bolster cushions provided.

  • This is a barefoot class however socks / shoes are okay if needed.

  • Water Bottle

The Fine Print: 

  • Cancellation policy is 12 hours notice for all classes and personal training sessions.

  • Failure to cancel outside of 12 hours will result in losing a class/session from your package/membership.
